Frequently Asked Questions

How do I rent a unit?

Contact us for availability and pricing.  You can send us an email from the "Contact Us" page or call during office hours.   You will need to have a valid driver's license, complete a rental agreement, and make payment for the current month to rent a unit.  We do NOT provide locks, however if you are in need of one, they are available for purchase in our office.

What are unit sizes?

Our unit sizes are 5x10, 10x10, 10x20, 10x30, 12x30.  For availability please contact our office.  Units are rented out on a first come first serve basis.

Does the rental agreement lock me into a minimum amount of time?

No, you are not required to rent for a minimum length of time.  Rental of units are month-to-month for as little or as long as you need.  Just let us know when you will be finished with the unit(s) rental.

How do I make a payment?

In Office Payments Options:

During regular office hours (M-Th 9-5; F 9-4):

-by credit card over the phone

-by check, credit card, or cash in office


Online Payment:

Available 24 hours a day. 

Go to "More" at the top of the page and click the drop down.

Click "Current Customers"  

Click "Submit Payment" 

This will transfer you to our secure payment site.  Make sure to reference the name and unit number(s) on payment.


Recurring payments may be set up online.


USPS mail:

Checks only.  Please do not mail cash.

Mail check early to ensure timely receipt before/on the 1st of the month.


Payments are due on the 1st of every month.

Are items in the unit(s) insured by Crockery Store N Lock?

No.  We only rent you the space.  We do NOT insure any items stored in the unit.  You should consult your insurance agent if you have questions regarding insurance or are interested in additional coverage.

What should I do when I am done renting the unit(s)?

In order to avoid unnecessary charges, please: 

  1. Clear and clean out your unit(s).
  2. Be sure to remove your lock.
  3. Close the doors
  4. Contact us by phone or email to notify us you are finished with the unit.    

Is there on-site disposal?

No.  All tenants are required to dispose of any refuse or unwanted items.  Additional fees  will apply otherwise.  

Are the units climate controlled?

No.  They are not.

Is it gated and do I need a code?

There is 24 hour access to the units.  However, there is limited lighting in the isles.


No code is required for the gate.  Our property is monitored regularly. 

Do you provide locks?

We do NOT provide locks.  You are able to use a lock of your choosing.  We DO sell self-storage disc locks in our office.  The lock is yours even after you are finished renting with us.

Will I get a monthly invoice?

You will NOT receive an invoice when rent is due.  It is the customer responsibility to make sure payment is on time the 1st of every month.  We offer several payment options as well as recurring payments.  If you fall behind in payment you will receive a statement showing the account balance.  If you are struggling to make payments please contact our office during office hours immediately.

What happens if I lose my key or don't remember my combination?

At your request, we will cut off your lock.  Additional charges my apply.
